Tilamol Priti Kiran Community – A Brief History

Founded on 1st October 2002 by Srs. Indira and Lina D’Cruz, the community was established at the request of Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao to serve the parish through pastoral, social, and educational work.

Key Activities

  • Education: Since 2005, a sister has been teaching at Our Lady Mother of the Poor High School, offering remedial classes and supporting dropout students.
  • Women Empowerment: Encouraging self-help groups, leadership, and social awareness.
  • Alcoholism Support: Assisting Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Al-Anon, counseling families, and guiding addicts.
  • Youth & Church Involvement: Conducting catechism, Sunday ministries, altar server training, and youth counseling.

Recent Activities

  • Addressing social issues, assisting with government benefits, human trafficking prevention, and prison ministry.
  • Altar Servers Day (14th Sept): 80 children attended vocation guidance sessions.
  • Vocation Camp (15th Sept): 130 confirmation students participated.
  • Vincent de Paul Day: Outreach to the elderly, sick, and poor, led by Sr. Indira.

Tilamol Priti Kiran continues to serve and uplift the community through education, faith, and social work.
